1. AI drafts
You upload bank and credit card statements as PDFs, phone photos (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC), Excel (.xlsx) or CSV files. Our AI extracts the transactions and suggests a category for each one. Anything unclear is flagged for you.
We help small businesses in the United States and Canada turn bank and credit card statements into clean, categorized books.
Less data entry. More business. You upload. AI-assisted bookkeeping; you review every AI guess. Then you download export files for QuickBooks Online, Xero or your accountant.
AI does the sorting. You confirm what's unclear.
Ai Book Sort was started by Harjap Dhaliwal, a bookkeeper who spent six years doing small-business books full time at an accounting firm in Alberta, Canada.
The mess I saw at the firm was almost always the same: months of bank and credit card statements nobody had time to sort, a shoebox of receipts, and a tax deadline getting closer. The sorting is slow. The judgment calls are what matter.
So we use AI for the slow part. It reads your statements, pulls out each transaction and suggests a category. Anything the AI isn't sure about is flagged for you to confirm in your review screen.
Ai Book Sort is AI bookkeeping software for small businesses in Canada and the United States, made by a Canadian company. You upload bank and credit card statements and receipts as PDFs, phone photos (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC), Excel (.xlsx) or CSV files; the AI reads each transaction and suggests a category; you confirm anything it flags; then you download files for QuickBooks, Xero or your accountant. Ai Book Sort does bookkeeping only: it is not a tax, legal, or accounting adviser, and it never files returns for you.
For years, Harjap did bookkeeping by hand — one entry at a time — the slow, costly work that bookkeepers and accounting firms spend their days on. A bookkeeper by trade, with a background in computer programming, he used today's AI tools to build Ai Book Sort himself — software with a built-in Bukso AI knowledge bank that helps bookkeepers and business owners find clear answers to their questions.
Bukso Technologies Corp. is not a CPA firm. Ai Book Sort is bookkeeping software — it does not give tax advice or file tax returns.
AI does the sorting. You confirm anything it flags before you download.

Open your review screen, confirm anything the AI flagged, and change a category if you need to. Most statements are ready in minutes; very large uploads take longer.
You get categorized transactions as import files for QuickBooks Online or Xero, or as Excel or CSV, plus a check report. It's cleanup and categorizing — AI-assisted bookkeeping; you review every AI guess. It is not a tax, legal, or accounting adviser, and not an audit.
Serving Canada (outside Quebec and Saskatchewan for now) and the United States. We serve businesses in Canada and the United States, and nowhere else. Canadian customers pay in CAD and US customers in USD ($2.50 per Processing Page).
Your files are read by our own AI. Our staff may look at a file only to help you, fix a fault, or for security, fraud or legal reasons, and every view is logged. The full list of who may see your documents is in our Privacy Policy, Section 5. We never sell your data or use it for marketing.
No required calls. Questions about your books come to you by email or chat.
We sort your transactions into categories. We're not a tax, legal, or accounting adviser. Please review your results before using them for taxes or filing.
We take the stress off your shoulders.
Upload the mess. Bukso AI sorts it, flag what's unclear for you, and you'll get your evenings back.
